Let the Right One In is apparantly an absorbing and ethereal tale of friendship, rejection and unconditional love. It is also a Swedish vampire film getting rave reviews. Empire's Kim Newman recently called it "a devastating, curiously uplifting inhuman drama and a superbly crafted genre exercise. [It] can stand toe-to-toe with Spirit Of The Beehive, Pan's Labyrinth or Orphee." Bullied at school, 12-year-old Oskar dreams of revenge. He imagines a time when he'll be ready to stand up to his tormentors. That day nears when he meets strange new neighbour Eli and, as their friendship grows, Oskar realises that she will change his life forever. On the web fans are calling it the best vampire picture since Kathryn Bigelow's 1987 classic Near Dark. See the original before Hollywood dampens a remake.
