We're delighted to tell you that the legendary Pete Goss (MBE) is returning to The Poly this February.

We're delighted to tell you that the legendary Pete Goss (MBE) is returning to The Poly this February.

In his last talk at The Poly, ten years ago, Pete told us of the loss of the beautiful catamaran Team Phillips, and his Mayday rescue of Raphael Dinelli from his sinking life raft in the desolate Southern Ocean. It was one of the Poly's most memorable evenings.

Since then he has been to the North Pole, sailed the 37 foot Cornish lugger Spirit of Mystery from Newlyn to Australia, and competed successfully in the Route du Rhum - one of only two Englishmen among 87 world class competitors racing single-handed from St Malo to Guadeloupe.

Life doesn't seem to slow down for Pete.

Now we welcome him back to The Poly for another vivid evening, when his 'few sailing yarns', with images and videos, are sure to enthral and inspire us.

Date: Thursday 24 February,
Time: 7.30pm
Tickets: £8 (£7 for RCPS Members)
