Royal Marines Band Concert at Hall for Cornwall, Truro. Time 7.30pm.

Seafarers UK, the leading maritime charity, returns to Truro once again with the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Plymouth.


The popularity and following of the Royal Marines Band is as strong as ever with music appealing to all ages.

Ranging from the Corps of Drums to a patriotic finale, the evening’s entertainment includes popular tunes from shows and films played and sung by these talented musicians. This year as an additional feature, the Cornish Four Lanes Male Voice Choir joins the Band. This choir is particularly renowned for its male voice singing and is well known in the UK and parts of Europe.

Seafarers UK is an “umbrella” charity raising thousands of pounds every year which is given as annual grants to over 70 charities in the maritime world. In 2012 Seafarers UK bestowed £2.5m to charities relating to the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets.
