Shiver me timbers! Make a pirate hat, create a parrot for your shoulder and lots more buccaneer booty in our swashbuckling pirate themed weeks.

Captain Jack’s Pirate School

Inspired by the discovery of a document listing buried pirate treasure, nestled deep in the archives in Truro, come along to hear this tale of treasure and the infamous pirate it belonged to. Practise your swashbuckling skills, be trained as a pirate recruit and perfect your piratical prowess with our own Johnny Depp lookalike, Captain Jack.

Yo Ho Ho Douglas Dapper!

Every Thursday throughout the school holidays Douglas Dapper the Story Explorer sets out on more weird and wonderful adventures, using exhibits and artefacts to inspire your imagination.

This week Douglas sets sail to uncover swashbuckling skulduggery and reveal the meaning behind ‘the skull and crossbones’.

*All activities FREE with Museum entrance ticket. One creative craft activity each day.
