Summer in the walled garden

Enjoy a series of summer performances in the walled garden at Trelissick through July and August.

Each performance is outdoors so please bring chairs, blankets and a picnic and come dressed for the weather.

Please note that only assistance dogs are permitted at these events.

'How to Catch a Rainbow’ story sessions with author Naomi Jones 

  27th July and  9th August

The story session will begin in the walled garden with a reading of the story by Naomi. You’ll then have time to explore the summer garden to see how many rainbow colours you can find.

From 11.30am return to the Walled Garden to take part in a rainbow craft activity with Naomi. There will be signed copies of ‘How to Catch a Rainbow’ available to purchase from Naomi after the event.

Storytelling sessions at 10.15am, 10.45am and 11.15am in the Walled Garden

Rainbow craft activity in the Walled Garden from 11.30am to 1pm

Tickets to the storytelling sessions and accompanying craft activity are £5 per child, there is no ticket fee for adults but please be aware admission to Trelissick applies. Children should not be left unattended during the storytelling or craft activity.

Quantum Theatre presents The Wind in the Willows 

3 August, 3.30 – 5.05pm

Join Mole, Ratty and Badger at Trelissick on their mad-cap adventures in this heart-warming tale of friendship, mishap and mayhem in Quantum Theatre’s brand new adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s family favourite.

Big Butterfly Count at Trelissick

  14 Jul – 6 Aug, 10am – 4.30pm

Help the Butterfly Conservation take nature's pulse by joining the Big Butterfly Count.

How many different species will you be able to identify? Record sheets for your sightings will be provided and this will help assess the health of the environment.

Taking part is free but admission to Trelissick applies.

  

Archery at Trelissick

 31 Jul & 7, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28 Aug, 10.30am-12.30pm & 1.30pm-3.30pm

Try your hand at archery at Trelissick this summer. A coach and Trelissick volunteers will be on hand to show you the basics of handling a bow and hitting the target - you'll be scoring bulls-eyes in no time!

Archery sessions at Trelissick are free however admission applies.
