Gwithti An Pystri

A Cabinet of Folklore and Magic

Gwithti an Pystri - Cornish for A Cabinet of Folklore and Magic- is a quirky museum of folklore, art and magic situated in Falmouth High Street.

Come and 'Av a geek' at the collection of genuine artefacts and curiosities, including a Victorian vampire slaying kit and the mysterious "Witches cradle" - all telling an untold tale of Cornish folklore and magic.

Steve Patterson is an author, woodcarver and folklorist and has studied folklore and the lore of magic ever since he can remember.

In addition to writing books, tracts and monographs on the subject he has also appeared in television and radio broadcasts and given many talks and presentations.

Membership for the museum is £15 for the year and it gives members year long admission to the museum as well as access to the extensive onsite library.

'Gwithti an Pystri' can be found in a wonderful old 19th Century two-storey building and is complete with its own resident ghost!

Opening times are Tuesday - Saturday, from 11am - 5pm.
