12 February - 13 February 2015

Rooster! By Rambert at Hall For Cornwall, Truro. Time 6pm.

The rock 'n' roll swagger of the Rolling Stones is brought thrillingly to life in Rooster, Christopher Bruce's electrifying celebration of the swinging sixties.

Sharp-suited, snake-hipped men and strong, sassy women perform virtuoso courtship dances to some of the Stones' most famous tunes, including Not Fade Away, Paint It Black, Sympathy for the Devil and Little Red Rooster.

The recent discovery of the 'God particle' inspires The Strange Charm of Mother Nature, choreographed by Rambert's Artistic Director Mark Baldwin. In three movements inspired by the science of the cosmos, the dancers fizz with the energy of the miniscule building blocks that created life, the universe and everything.

Completing the programme is Barak Marshall's The Castaways, a terrific piece of dance theatre combining dark humour and striking movement to infectious world music.

'Rambert's dancers play out their little dramas as superbly as they ride the irresistible wave of Marshall's choreography' (The Times).
