The Falmouth Sound

30 October 2015

Featuring The Black Tambourines, Lost Dawn and The Red Cords. Princess Pavilion, Falmouth. Time: 7pm.

The Falmouth Sound: The Black Tambourines, Lost Dawn and the Red Cords stand at the vanguard of the high profile explosion of exciting bands originating from Falmouth; a vibrant phenomenon that has already attracted the attention of national publications such as the NME and Vive Le Rock and is also soon to be the subject of a forthcoming documentary.

The Black Tambourines: Since forming in 2009, the Black Tambourines have increasingly delivered upon all the promises made by those who sought to warn you about the unholy power of rock'n'roll.

Equally capable of generating sonic vapour trails that coruscate across the void between amplifier and eardrum, or fracturing sound into glistening kaleidoscopes, their live shows are celebratory.

Lost Dawn: Projecting all of rock'n'roll's futures and pasts onto a screen of their own invention, Lost Dawn are more of an experience than a band and are like an ever-changing chimera that feeds the mind and caresses the soul. Their recently released eponymous debut album unfurls to expose an endlessly shifting prism of excitement and wonder.

The Red Cords: With two powerhouse EPs already under their belts, the Red Cords have assumed their ultimate form – a coruscating blast of power. The trio combine a corpus of fundamental rock'n'roll influences with imagination and talent to produce a wholly original and exciting sound.
