A Father's Day gift doesn't have to be expensive – it's those memories and places that make it extra special.

With Father's Day fast approaching, we've come up with our 5 favourite walks and cake stops around the Fal, so that this 21st June is a day for all the family to treasure together.

1. St Mawes to St Just

Tea Shop Stops: You're spoilt for choice in St Mawes where Tea is concerned – after completing this wonderful walk, indulge in one of St Mawes' unique teashops and eateries – St Just Church also serve teas and coffees for visitors – you couldn't ask for a better setting for a cuppa with Pa!

Tea Shop Stops: re-fuel at the stylish Gylly café, wonderfully and conveniently positioned on Gyllyngvase Beach – where the walk comes full circle – this popular café fills up fast so be sure book in advance or get there early if you'd like more than cake and tea!

5. Porthbeor Circular

Lastly – if you fancy some quality family time, grab some deli supplies from Café Chandlers in St Mawes and head over to St Anthony’s Head on the Place Ferry, using Fal River ferry links. On this 2 mile circular walk, you can stop off at Porthbeor Beach and celebrate Father’s Day in style with a picnic. Café Chandlers stock the essential picnic supplies including pastries, fresh juices, bottled local beers, charcuterie and cheese and last but not least – traditional Cornish pasties.
