3. Outdoor Theatre Experience

Treat the family to a spot of culture with a special night of theatre performed under the stars!
Miracle Theatre will be popping up with their new show The Third Policeman, in unexpected outdoor venues throughout the summer. Beaches, cliff tops, amphitheatres, gardens, and even castles will become exciting backdrops to their hilarious and eccentric new production.
What's more, if you want to arrive in style take the special Showboat from Falmouth to see the show at St Mawes Castle on Tuesday 8th August.

6. On Your Bike

A largely traffic free, level cycle route the Bissoe Trail provides access to the beautiful countryside along a mineral tramway between Devoran and Portreath on the North Coast. 8. Festivals

The Fal River has its fair share of festivals, and there's plenty on offer for families...

During Zestifal (Thu 27 - Mon 30 Jul) Falmouth's open spaces are transformed into sporting venues for people of all ages and abilities to take part in. There's plenty of opportunity to try something new from pilates, zumba, archery, paddle boarding, climbing and more!

PlayFest (Thu 3 - Fri 4 Aug) will be returning to Boscawen Park this summer. The FREE festival celebrates the importance of play in children's lives with circus workshops, have-a-go sessions, entertainers, stalls, face painting, music, dance, yoga, and fairground rides... All based around the Swamp Circus Big Top.

Falmouth Week (Fri 4 - Sun 13 Aug) has grown into the largest sailing regatta in the south west, not to mention a lively programme of shore side events. The Red Arrows will be joining the celebrations again this year, performing their spectacular aerial maneuvers in Falmouth Bay on Wed 9.

9. Gardens

The Fal River and surrounding area is home to some of the finest and most magical gardens in the Cornwall - perfect for wild family days out. 10. Knight Fever

Experience the spectacle of a grand medieval joust at Pendennis Castle this summer. Get ready to cheer on your hero and witness some of the toughest knights in England as they battle it out in real tournaments.
