Playfest
3-4 August

PlayFest is a two-day festival that takes place in Boscowan Park, Truro and celebrates children’s right to play. Expect circus skill workshops, have-a-go sessions, entertainers, a variety of arts & crafts workshops, stalls, face painting, music, dance, yoga, and fairground rides…  All based around the Swamp Circus Big Top!

Miracle Theatre - The Third Policeman

8 August

Miracle Theatre will be popping up, in unexpected outdoor venues throughout the summer. Beaches, cliff tops, amphitheatres, gardens, and even castles will become exciting backdrop to their hilarious and eccentric new show, The Third Policeman. Once again we've teamed up with Miracle to offer audiences the chance to take the Showboat from Falmouth to see the show at St Mawes Castle on 8 August.

Once again the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team has it will delight the crowds throughout Cornwall over the summer. The legendary Royal Air Force aerobatic team will perform first in Falmouth during Falmouth Week  The Red Arrows' 20-minute dazzling display over Falmouth harbour attracts thousands of visitors to the town. Beat the crowds and watch the dazzling display over the bay from our Spectator Boats!

Medieval Joust 
Pendennis Castle
15 - 16 August 

Experience the spectacle of a grand medieval joust at Pendennis Castle this summer. Get ready to cheer on your hero and witness some of the toughest knights in England as they battle it out in real tournaments. Choose your champion and see who is victorious in this colourful display of chivalry and courage. The living history encampments will take you back in time, where you'll be kept entertained by the court jester and merry musicians.

If You Go Down To The Woods Today by Yskynna
Trebah Garden
24-26 August

Take a journey deep into the fairytale heart of Trebah Garden, and join Yskynna on a spectacular voyage of breathtaking aerial dance, storytelling and acrobatics at an epic scale. This promenade vertical dance performance with fire breathing dragons and flying flamingos  set against a soundscape of soothing sirens. But take care on your travels... as you're surely in for a big surprise.

Join the crew of HMS Adventure this August with ive performance and storytelling, with new craft activities every week.  The ship has just dropped anchor off a deserted island and you have volunteered to explore the deserted island with the scientists. Get in character…who will you be? The Midshipman – with responsibility and a smart uniform. The Cook – got to keep that crew well fed. The Ordinary Sailor – a hard-working crew member or The Botanist, out to discover new plants, animals and specimens to bring home.

National Trust Trelissick

Indulge in the extravagant at Trelissick this month and explore the life of Ralph Allen Daniell, Cornwall’s mining millionaire. Trelissick as we see it today is largely down to the vision and investment of the Daniell family. This exhibition provides context for this development in an interactive and engaging way. For little adventurers there's also a challenge in the garden. Search for the riches Ralph Allen Daniell has left at Trelissick. Build a tower with Ralph's gold ingots and unlock the secret code to claim your share of the treasure!
