The cottage is looked after by House By The Beach a small family business with a great selection of family-friendly self-catering properties in Gorran Haven and the surrounding areas. The village itself is enjoyed by locals and visitors throughout the year. Nicely off the beaten track but with a great selection of amenities including small shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a popular family-friendly beach.
Mermaid cottage is steeped in history, perched on top of the beach slipway, the cottage was once the village pub and a famous local smugglers haunt in the 18th Century.
Nowadays the cottage is a spacious and modern 3 bedroom holiday home, sleeping up to 7, it has an en suite master bedroom occupying the whole top floor with fantastic views out to sea. The cottage retains many of its charming period features including free standing enamel bathtub and original sash windows.
