Next generation farmhouse cookery school, Philleigh Way, has today announced a series of Christmas courses for the festive season.

The Christmas course schedule includes Christmas cookery, Christmas baking, Christmas cake decorating and wreath making which have all been designed to get students in the festive spirit.

 

Cookery course Gift Vouchers are also available for family and friends.

The full-day Christmas Cookery course kicks off with some European family favourites, resident chef George will teach students how to bake Christmas classics German Stollen and Italian Panettone. He'll also demonstrate a selection of easy party canapés which are sure to impress your guests, show you how to jazz up your traditional roast Turkey or Goose and share tips and tricks on how to make the most of Christmas leftovers.

Not only that, a mixologist from Southwestern Distillery who produce Tarquin's Gin will be on hand to teach a couple of festive cocktails designed to get your Christmas party started! The Christmas cookery course takes place on Saturday 3rd December and Saturday 10th December from 10.00am-16.00pm and costs £150.00pp which includes a delicious Philleigh Way Christmas lunch and drinks.

On Sunday 4th December is the Christmas Cake Decorating course with tutor, Christine Hawker. Trained at the prestigious Denman College, Christine has a passion for sugarcraft and baking and is looking forward to sharing this with students. During this fun hands-on course, students will master a whole batch of different decorating skills and techniques in order to produce their own beautifully decorated Christmas cake. The end result is guaranteed to impress your family and friends around the table at Christmas. The Christmas cake decorating course runs from 9.30am – 13.30pm and costs £50.00.

During Philleigh Ways new Christmas baking course students will learn how to prepare a wide range of treats perfect for giving as presents or for sharing with family and friends this Christmas; covering traditional mince pies, a yule log, chocolate truffles and stollen muffins you'll be heading home with a bag full to bursting of delicious goodies. Tutor Christine Hawker will also teach students how to make a range of festive inspired decorations to adorn their bakes. The Christmas baking course takes place on Thursday 8th December from 9.30am-13.30pm and costs £70.00.

Finally, a new wreath making course will give students the opportunity to create a masterpiece to adorn their front door. Tutor Helen Johns of Trebilcocks Flowers will teach students how to prepare their wreath base before decorating it with seasonal greenery, ribbon and a range of decorations. Students then create their own wreath which they take home at the end of the day. To get everyone in the festive spirit, mulled wine and mince pies will be provided during the afternoon. The wreath making course takes place on Friday 16th December, 14.00-16.30pm and costs £30.00.
