Game Cookery at Philleigh Way

This month Philleigh Way will be running their final game course of the winter season. In recent years there has been a huge resurgence in the number of people eating game however, many people are still unsure of how to prepare and cook game at home. Guest tutor and expert butcher Gavin Roberts of the Kernow Sausage Company and Two Brothers Foods will teach students the skills necessary to prepare a wide range of game animals whilst resident Philleigh Way chef George Pascoe, will teach students some delicious game based dishes that they can easily re-create at home. A fantastic course for those wishing to gain more confidence in preparing and cooking a wide range of delicious game.

Valentines Night Supper Club

This month Philleigh Way will be hosting a special Valentines night supper club. Held inside the Cookery School, Philleigh Way's Supper Clubs are interactive dining experiences where you will not only be able to enjoy a delicious taster menu but, you will be able to watch resident chef George Pascoe cook elements of each course in front of you whilst giving you tips on how to organize a hassle free dinner party. Tickets for each event are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

Pasties and Cream

This month sees the first of Philleigh Ways fun Pasties and Cream courses for 2017. Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a 'proper' Cornish pasty? Well this is the course for you! As well as learning all about how to make the perfect pasty to Granny Spears secret recipe, (including how to master the all-important crimping), you'll also be treated to a demonstration of how everyone's favourite, clotted cream is made. You can then tuck into a traditional cream tea (jam first of course) whilst your pasties are baking.
