Pig in a Day at Philleigh Way
This month sees the return of Philleigh Way's hugely popular Pig in a Day course. During this fun, hands-on course, butcher and sausage connoisseur Gavin Roberts, owner of The Kernow Sausage Company, will take students on a culinary snout to tail journey of all things Pig!
Students will gain a sound grounding in pork butchery, sausage making and pork curing. By the end of the day, they will understand the importance of fine ingredients and craftsmanship, and will be well equipped to create their own delicious sizzling sausages at home.
East meets West at Philleigh Way
March sees the launch of Philleigh Ways new half-day Sushi and Sashimi course.
Sushi and Sashimi have seen an explosion in popularity worldwide and with access to some of the best fish in the world, what better place to learn all about it than Cornwall!
On this new course you will be taught how to make authentic sushi and sashimi by Japanese cookery teacher, Naoko Kashiwagi. Naoko will share her skills and experience, teaching you how to prepare delicious sushi and sashimi from scratch creating new and delicious flavour combinations and textures. The first Sushi and Sashimi course takes place on Sunday 5th March with additional dates available.
