Hidden Spots To Tie The Knot
28 November 2017
We love to hunt out the most secluded spots to get married and create an intimate wedding to remember, whether for two guests or a few more. We've put together our favourite secret spaces for saying your vows somewhere a little different to the mainstream, here are our hidden spots for tying the knot.
It doesn't come more iconic than The Tresanton. Fine service, fabulous cuisine and oh my, those views... you couldn't choose somewhere more reputable to make your romance official. Perfect for intimate weddings from two to twelve guests, The Tresanton Bar Lounge is chic yet cosy with real wood floors, understated furnishings, beautiful light streaming through the windows and a roaring open fire, the most romantic bolthole you'll find.
The Lookout Suite, Greenbank
For somewhere utterly unique and only a small wedding for two, why not have a humanist ceremony on the balcony of The Lookout Suite at The Greenbank Hotel? With panoramic views that are completely unrivalled and a luxury suite to cosy up in at the end of the day, it's the ultimate luxury wedding for those that want not too many guests but to celebrate in four-star style. After all, with a
Rosette awarded restaurant to dine in together afterwards and the dream cocktail bar, you won't even want to leave (except potentially for a celebratory boat trip from their private pontoons around the Fal River, of course!)
The Bandstand, Princess Pavilion
Be still our beating hearts, we're a little in love with the Bandstand at The Princess Pavilion. We were overjoyed to discover couples can enjoy a humanist wedding in the Bandstand and what an incredible place to get married. With views around the gardens and the ocean on the horizon, this is the dream venue to say your vows in style.
When it comes to intimate weddings, there ain't no party like a Lower Barns party. Well hidden but rapidly becoming discovered, Lower Barns is one of the most incredible venues for smaller weddings of 2-20 guests. Get married in the lounge in front of the roaring fire, The Shack in the garden or our favourite, the dedicated outdoor Wed Shed. Party on in the Party Shed before crashing out in your very own ultra-romantic suite, complete with four poster bed, a slipper bath, wood burner or outdoor sauna and your own private hot tub to enjoy stargazing until the early hours. Lower Barns has stolen our hearts with it's quirky décor and friendly hosts Janie and Mike. Can we get married again
The new canvas on the block is courtesy of the fabulous folk at Wild Tipi and we love how they are doing things a little differently. Whether you have a location in mind or you're open to their suggestions, these pretty and picturesque tipis look best adorned with fairy lights and set against a backdrop of night sky stars.
Romantic, ethereal, private and incredible personal, this is for the outdoor bride who wants to kick off her shoes and get wild!
The last name when it comes to romantic elopements in Cornwall, look no further than Boho Weddings. We're talking dramatic, romantic, intimate and relaxed. This is romantic country house meets rugged Cornish coast, an utterly extraordinary and magical little hideaway, somewhere specialising in soulful elopements just for two. The 100 year old country house is breathtaking with sweeping oak staircase and original stained glass window. Tie the knot barefoot in the walled garden in the dedicated wedding arbour then steal away to celebrate on the sand as the sun sets before you.
So many beautiful venues, it's making us want to renew our vows every year! Where is your dream venue? Share it with us!
