Discover Spring in Cornwall with a four-day Garden Break at The Nare Hotel
5 January - 1 April 2023
Cornwall has a mild sub-tropical climate due to its geographical location on the edge of the Gulf Stream and as a result Cornish gardens are considered some of the most famous in the world.
The Nare is conveniently located for many of these beautiful gardens. A Spring Garden Break (available January to April) enables you to see the gardens at their very best and includes four nights’ accommodation plus entry to three Great Gardens of Cornwall of your choice.
The gardens can be explored all year round but February and March are the best time to visit to see the stunning displays of magnolias, some of which are as large as dinner plates. The bright colours of the camellias add to the wonderful pink displays during these early months of spring. In fact, the moment Cornish magnolias flower, spring has arrived in England and visitors to Cornwall may not be aware just how much earlier spring arrives in Cornwall than in the rest of the UK.
These four-day breaks start from £1,760 for a Country View room, based on a couple sharing four night's accommodation (sea view and single rooms are also available). This includes dinner, full English breakfast, afternoon Cornish cream tea, VAT and entry into three gardens from the following: Caerhays Castle and Spring Garden with its world-famous National Magnolia collection, the exotic Lamorran House Gardens, The iconic Lost Gardens of Heligan, Pinetum Gardens which is home to one of the largest plant collections in the county, the botanical oasis that is Tregrehan Garden, Cornwall’s true jungle garden Penjerrick, Trebah Garden, a subtropical valley with coastal backdrop, Tremenheere Sculpture Garden and Trewidden which boasts one of the finest stands of Tree Ferns in the Northern Hemisphere.
