3 August 2020, 6 May, 24 June, 7 July, 20 July, 5 August, 13 August, 9 September & 29 September
Our very own chef Rupert Cooper teaches students how to make a proper Cornish Pasty (family recipe!) and Cornish clotted cream.
Tutor: Head Tutor – Rupert Cooper
Maximum student to tutor ratio: 10-1
Welcome: Meet your tutor and see for yourself the Philleigh Way farmhouse cookery school and garden. Enjoy a morning tea or coffee.
The Day: The course kicks off with a proper pasty making demonstration that covers the history and culture of the Cornish pasty. Students then have a go at making their own pasty with hands on guidance from our tutors – especially during the all important crimping! Whilst the pasties are in the oven students will enjoy a demonstration of homemade scones. Students then sit down to enjoy a classic Cornish cream tea before heading home with their freshly baked pasties.
