Trouble Brewing in The Loire – Tommy Barnes (Braslou Bière)
30 April
A Roseland Festival 2026 Event
The infamous Braslou Bière has returned. Inexplicably. Now in North Cornwall.
Join brewer and bestselling author Tommy Barnes for a wildly entertaining talk about what happens when you move to rural France, decide to start a brewery, and realise (slightly too late) that you don’t actually know how to brew beer. Expect big dreams, cultural chaos, and a steady slide from “great idea”, into “waist deep in catastrophe”.
Tommy will share the full Braslou story, along with tales from his acclaimed books A Beer in The Loire and Trouble Brewing in The Loire, both shortlisted for the Fortnum & Mason Food and Drink Awards.
There’ll be Braslou beer available on the night too, so you can taste the results of the mayhem.
A funny, honest, beer-soaked tale of risk, reinvention, and rural reality.
