Ghostly Goings-On and Creepy Crawlies for Spooky Halloween Family Fun at Pendennis Castle

14 October 2019

Prepare to be scared at Pendennis Castle this half term when English Heritage will be hosting a week of spine-tingling spooky fun for young and old.

If you are feeling brave, book friends and family onto one of six ghost tours taking place after dark on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October. Guaranteed to be a scream, early tours at 6pm and 7pm are family-friendly, while an 8pm tour on both evenings is for adults only.

Each tour will be led by Doctor Theophilus Fox, a notable Victorian occultist and ghost hunter who will tell tales of apparitions, supernatural sightings and strange happenings through the castle’s long history. Prices are £16 for adults, £7.70 for children and there are discounts for English Heritage members. Places are limited and tickets are expected to sell out fast - so early booking is strongly recommended.

Call 0370 333 1183 Mon-Fri 08.30 – 17.30 or Sat 09.00 – 17.00.

For daytime fun, parents should gather their little monsters for a ghoulishly good day- out, with wicked crafts, storytelling, shows and a spooktacular witch-themed Halloween quest around the castle from Saturday 25 October until Sunday 3 November, from 11am and 4pm. There will also be the chance to get up-close to a host of real life beasts – including snakes, spiders and more – and learn all about these creepy crawly creatures. Remember to dress the little horrors in their frighteningly best Halloween outfits for
the chance to win a prize (judging at 1.45pm each day).

Normal admission prices apply - £10.90 for adults, £6.50 for children, £9.80 for concessions and £28.30 for a family ticket.

Admission is free for English Heritage members.
