Salt Art Supply was opened in late October 2023 by Nyassa and Rhianna, two Falmouth University Illustration graduates, after they noticed a lack of good quality art supplies and stationery locally.

The two founders have said they’ve been absolutely blown away by all the support they’ve received since opening.

“It’s so wonderful to be in a place where small independent businesses are championed” said Nyassa, “and we hope that Salt Art Supply will support our local community by making creativity more accessible and offering local artists both professional and amateur the supplies they need to carry out their craft.”

Alongside greetings cards, stationery and gifts, Salt Art Supply stocks a wide range of art supplies catering to all kinds of creative practices, including watercolour, acrylic, gouache and oil paints, artists pencils, drawing inks, sketchbooks and more. Sustainability and quality is very important to the founders, so as well as stocking reputable brands such as Winsor & Newton and Faber-Castell, they also aim to stock eco-conscious and plastic free options where possible to help artists and stationery lovers make better choices for the planet.

In addition to their Falmouth shop, Salt Art Supply have recently launched their online website so customers can browse and shop online for delivery or local collection.

Salt Art Supply is open from 10am - 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday and is located on the Moor in Falmouth Town.
