Activity Centre Via Ferrata Cornwall CIC Wins Trip Advisor Award
12 November
Via Ferrata Cornwall CIC (Community Interest Company) has won Trip Advisor’s Travellers' Choice Award for 2025, making its reviews and ratings among the top 10% of Trip Advisor's global 1.6 million listings.
Based near Penryn, the activity centre provides adventures that offer ‘so much more than just an adrenaline rush’. Activities include the Via Ferrata, a high wire adventure involving scaling cliff faces, balancing across high wire bridges and finishing with the ultimate zip wire finale, along with the Zip Wire Safari, a series of dual zip wires across the adventure quarry.
More than just an adrenaline rush
Via Ferrata Cornwall CIC’s activities are designed to provide value that goes above and beyond a quick adrenaline rush; the chance to build confidence and skills, expand comfort zones and try something completely different in the safe and reassuring hands of fully qualified Instructors.
The Via Ferrata activity sees participants journeying through historic granite quarries, reaching heights of 20 meters above water. Climbing the iron stairway, balancing across high wires and zip- lining through the air, adventurers are in for a challenge that enables them to push their limits, conquer fears, feel an incredible sense of achievement and of course, have lots of fun! Routes cater for eight-year-olds through to full on adrenaline junkies.
Another popular adventure is the Zip Wire Safari, which offers the chance to soar through the historic quarry on a series of exhilarating zip wires, building confidence with every ride. The dual zip offers double the fun as participants launch off the quarry edge and fly round together. Part way through there’s also the fun of traversing along the cliff edge to navigate between zips. Once participants have completed the Training Zone to learn how to safely zip-line, they enjoy the freedom and excitement of launching themselves off the clifftops and around the course.
Other activities include Coasteering, Watersports, Rock Climbing, Archery, and the Adventure Holiday Club, offering exciting childcare for 6 - 13 year olds.

“This was fabulous! I was a little hesitant about it to begin with but this turned out to be one of the best things I have ever done. The instructor Scott, was knowledgeable, funny and helpful. Safety briefing and constant checking of all equipment was prioritised. All the equipment provided was in excellent condition and was comfortable. Can't wait to return to try another activity.” - Ann
