National Meadows Day
4 July
Art Workshops at Trelissick with Pop Up Paint Pot
Join Truro’s Pop Up Paint Pot and the National Trust’s Cornish Coastal Meadows Project team to make meadows-themed crafts to celebrate National Meadows Day on Saturday 4 July.
Head to the stableyard where you’ll find the Pop Up Paint Pot team ready to help you make meadow crowns decorated with the insects and wildlife that call meadows home and wildlife wands to celebrate the magic of nature.
Members of the National Trust’s Cornish Coastal Meadows Project team will also be on hand with their meadows creation kit to show you how they use the machinery to harvest meadow seed and talk about the project.
Pop Up Paint Pot are a Truro based community arts project who bring people across Cornwall together through creativity. You can find out more about their work at: https://popuppaintpot.co.uk/
Give your crowns a twirl on the dancefloor at the Nos Lowen in Trelissick barn. From 4.30pm there’ll be Cornish folk music, dancing and festivities all celebrating the fantastic Cornish coastal meadows. For more information and to book your ticket to this event visit:
