The Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair 2023

3 November - 5 November 2023

Makers Cornwall is gearing up to celebrate Cornwall’s fantastic talent and creativity once again with their super-festive Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair.

3rd - 5th November 2023

Makers Cornwall is a successful, inclusive, non-profit community, run by volunteers which supports local designers, makers, and artists in Cornwall.

The annual Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair is the ideal opportunity to discover a wide range of perfect festive gifts and meet the talented makers behind them. This year the Fair is Friday 3 - Sunday 5 November 2023, and is back at the spacious and welcoming Falmouth & Exeter Universities Penryn Campus.

The fair is the start of the Christmas season for so many of their makers and customers and is always the perfect destination for shoppers to get ahead of the Christmas rush and for Makers to re-introduce their work and launch new ranges.

This will be the 5th Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair, which started in St Ives in 2017 and 2018 with around 40 stands and attracting 3000 visitors, moving to Penryn Campus for 2019 and 2022. Last year, they hosted 70 stands and had over 5000 visitors over the 3 days.

Products at the fair will range across:
* modern ceramics
* stylish home-wares
* hand-printed textiles
* unusual jewellery
* original art + prints
* eco-beauty products
* artisanal food gifts

As well as providing the perfect opportunity to find unique, affordable and meaningful gifts in the lead up to Christmas, the event will also include cocktails and live music on the opening Friday night, food stands perfect for lunch and snacks, and a cafe for the all important teas, coffees and cake.

Opening times are:
Friday 3rd November 6pm - 9pm
Saturday 4th November 10am - 4pm
Sunday 5th November 10am - 3pm

The continuing charity partner is Penryn Food Bank. There will be a collection point for food items and any monetary contributions, and the hugely successful tombola is returning to raise extra funds for them.  Makers Cornwall are all constantly inspired by the amazing work that our food banks do and at this time of a cost of living crisis they are particularly in demand so they really hope they can help.

Sally Atkins of Makers Cornwall said:
“The Makers Cornwall Christmas Fair is the annual shopfront for our wonderful and talented members and is the highlight of our year. As organisers we put everything into staging an event that is well run, busy and successful, whilst being supportive, inclusive and loads of festive fun. We can’t wait to host all the talented makers and welcome returning customers and hopefully lots of new ones too. See you there!”
