Easter signifies the start of the visitor season as well as being a time of celebration. And every year, the St Mawes Hotel hosts a variety of community events. Join in for a weekend full of egg-citement!

Good Friday

This Good Friday, bring the family together for the  annual St Mawes Hotel Crabbing competition, alongside a delicious Fish & Chip lunch!

Between 11am & 3pm gather your crabbing kit and head to the harbour to demonstrate your crabbing skills.

To enter the competition, just bring your biggest crab to the St Mawes Hotel. They will weigh it, before releasing it back into the estuary.  The heaviest crab of the day wins a prize!!

Alongside the usual restaurant menus, the Hotel will also be serving delicious Fish & Chips.

Easter Sunday

This Easter Sunday, join the St Mawes Hotel for an egg-cellent day with an Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Egg Decorating and meet Rocky The Rabbit!

11.00: Meet Rocky the Rabbit at The Idle Rocks & collect your treasure map.

11.15: Set off in search of hidden clues & treats around our village.

12.15: End at The St Mawes Hotel with prizes!

From 12.00: Sunday lunch served in the Upper Deck & Lower Deck. There will be 3 lunch sittings: 12pm, 2.30pm & 4.45pm

14:00: Join Emma, the talented Chocolatier from Cafe Cocoa in Truro, who will be hosting an Easter Egg decorating workshop in The Courtyard Room.

You will be supplied with one of her handmade chocolate eggs and all the “trimmings” for you to create a delicious egg – perfect as a gift for a loved one, or for a little self indulgence!

Tickets are £22 per egg and all materials will be provided. The workshop will last approximately 90 minutes.

Families & small groups / couples are welcome to “share” an egg!
