Tregony Contemporary is pleased to announce Living Space, a solo exhibition of new work by American painter Erin Raedeke, running from 5–26 July 2025. This is Raedeke’s first solo presentation with the gallery.

Known for her quietly resonant still life’s and interior scenes, Raedeke’s paintings emerge from a practice grounded in observation—both visual and emotional. While her earlier work was shaped exclusively by direct observation, her recent paintings extend this approach to include the act of remembering: observing spaces that no longer exist, but which remain vividly present through memory.

In Living Space, Raedeke revisits rooms lived in, objects handled, and moments once held in silence. Some paintings are rendered

directly from life, others constructed from memory, drawing, and written notes. All reflect an enduring interest in the spaces we inhabit—physically, emotionally, and across time.

“Often these spaces or objects are no longer accessible, yet their impact is still fresh in my mind and full of clarity..." writes Raedeke. 

"My observation remains acute, just in a more comprehensive way—embracing both sight and feeling."

Raedeke has exhibited widely in the United States and internationally, including in the BP Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery in London. She is a member of the artist collectives Zeuxis and Perceptual Painters, and her work is held in private and public collections.
