Trelissick 70
26 June - 15 September
Celebrating 70 years of National Trust at Trelissick
Daily until 15 September, 11am-4pm
70 years ago, in 1955, Ida Copeland generously gifted the garden and estate of Trelissick to the National Trust.
This year we celebrate her donation with exhibitions that tell the story of both the Copeland’s Trelissick and the Trelissick we know today. Trelissick 70 is the first of two exhibitions and tells the story of Ida Copeland and her time at Trelissick.
Featuring archive images of the estate, Trelissick 70 recalls World War II at the maritime estate, the Copeland family’s influence on the garden and their time in Cornwall.
As part of the exhibition the Trelissick team invites visitors to participate and share their memories of the estate.
There will be guest books and sketchbooks to write and draw recollections and inspirations. Admission to Trelissick applies, free for National Trust members.
