A Dangerous Coast - Rogues, Murderers and Cannibals: Falmouth’s Hidden Histories with Will Hazell

20 November

National Maritime Museum Autumn Lecture Series

As autumn draws in and the nights grow darker, join us for the Autumn Lecture Series exploring the shadowy side of Cornwall’s rich maritime heritage. This seasonal collection delves into the hidden histories, dark folklore, and mysterious tales that have shaped Cornwall’s coastal identity for centuries.

Local storyteller and tour guide, Will Hazell, shines a light onto some of Falmouth’s darker corners. Falmouth was once a dynamic maritime centre with visitors from across the world, but this heady swirl included much drama and disorder. With his acclaimed storytelling skills, Will is going to paint a picture of this town at its least quaint, when misadventure and tragedy played out in these streets.

Doors open at 7pm, with hot & cold drinks available from our Waterside Cafe.

Lecture starts at 7.30pm.
