One-of-a-kind experience at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall

Inspired by the SURF! exhibition, this one-of-a-kind experience invites you to connect deeply with the rhythms of nature through a flowing yoga practice led by Alicia Ray, accompanied by immersive soundscapes delivered through wireless headphones.

Friday 3 October

Doors open at 5.30pm, Class starts at 6.30pm

Facilitated by Alicia and Rich from Gwithian Beach Yoga.

Step into a sea of serenity as movement, music, and the magic of the ocean unite for an unforgettable evening of Silent Disco Yoga in the heart of National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

What to expect

  • Exclusive after-hours access to the SURF! exhibition, exploring the rich culture and history of waveriding in Cornwall over the last 100 years.

  • An uplifting ocean-inspired yoga flow, suitable for all levels.

  • A silent disco-style session where you’ll move to curated music and live instruction in your own personal sound world.

  • Surrounded by maritime heritage and stunning views of the Falmouth harbour, you’ll be transported by the ebb and flow of breath, movement and tide.

Alicia teaches a Vinyasa flow class that is suitable for all levels and experience of yoga. The class is 75 minutes to allow for a dreamy savasana relaxation to finish. No prior experience of yoga is necessary. If you are a beginner to yoga, be sure to listen to your body and only join the postures and movements that feel good for you – you can adapt or leave out anything that doesn’t feel good.
