University of Exeter / NMMC Masterclass:

The National Maritime Museum Cornwall, in partnership with the University of Exeter, presents a full-day masterclass exploring WW2, the Fall of France and its hidden implications for Cornwall and beyond. This immersive learning experience offers participants the opportunity to expand their knowledge of a pivotal moment in 20th century history through expert-led sessions in the museum’s inspiring environment.

Guided by museum curators and leading academics, attendees gain exclusive access to rare artefacts and archives not available to the general public. The day also includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum’s boat workshop, where participants can observe the construction of an authentic replica of a World War 2 Special Operations Executive surf boat.

This masterclass provides a unique opportunity for history enthusiasts to engage deeply with this significant period through hands-on exploration and expert insight.
