With the hump of the New Year over, it’s time to start thinking ahead to slightly warmer times and the first little glimpses of Spring. February brings with it another school holiday also, so it’s time to plan family fun activities and outings to keep the kids entertained during half term! Science of the Sea at the Maritime Museum

Join us this February half term for Science of the Sea – family fun with a BANG! Bristol Explorer Dome is back with more science shows, we’re on the hunt for creatures that use bubbles to survive on the Museum Trail and in the Make & Takes we’re using science to create colourful artworks. The Science of the Sea half term activities are FREE as part of the Museum’s annual admission fee. Pay once and get in free for a year.

Explorer Quest at Pendennis Castle

Get fit for history this half term with our outdoor explorer quest at Pendennis Castle. Track down the fun-filled challenges around the site and get active in the fresh air. Admission to the event is included in the standard admission ticket price. If you are a Member then your ticket will be free. You don’t need to book your visit in advance, but you will always get the best price and guaranteed entry by booking online ahead of your visit.

St Mawes Ferry
This February, enjoy some time out on the water with a trip to St Mawes or Falmouth on the St Mawes Ferry. This magical route connects the old world fishing harbour of St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula with the bustling maritime port of Falmouth steeped in history and heritage.
