With a new year comes new beginnings and a celebratory start. Take a look below at our pick of things to see, do, try and experience to kick off 2023 happily and healthily!
Take a trip on the St Mawes Ferry
All year round
Enjoy some time out on the water this month with a trip to St Mawes or Falmouth on the St Mawes Ferry. This magical route connects the old-world fishing harbour of St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula with the bustling maritime port of Falmouth, steeped in history and heritage. At this time of year, the ferries depart from Falmouth's Prince of Wales Pier at quarter past the hour and from St Mawes quarter to the hour. Soak in the serene surroundings this winter on board the St Mawes Ferry.

St Mawes Castle
Open weekends
If you find yourself in St Mawes at the weekend, take a walk up to St Mawes Castle and explore one of the best-preserved of Henry VIII's coastal artillery fortresses and the most elaborately decorated. If you're interested in your castle history, take a look at our guest blog about 'sister' castle Pendennis.
If you're feeling adventurous, the St. Mawes Ferry allows you to visit both in one day!
