Top Things to Do in February 2024

10 February

After a long, slow January, February brings with it a school holiday, Valentine’s Day and crisper, lighter days. Delve into our pick of the best things to do in February around the river

  For Families...

Explosive Family Half Tern Fun at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall

10th - 18th February

Running every day of the school holiday, Science of the Sea at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall promises an explosive family show, craft workshops, and a museum trail that will ignite young imaginations.

The Wonderstruck Forces and Energy Show will answer fascinating questions such as how boats, ships and submarines move, how they produce necessary forces, and where their energy comes from.

Buckle up for a 25-minute perambulation through the world of forces and energy with expert guide, Mr Wright, who will propel an (un)lucky volunteer across the stage on the Wonderstruck Rocket Car, tinker with liquid nitrogen, and explode a rather large bowl of breakfast cereal along the way.
