Chain Ferry Challenge
10 May
A group of fearless navigators attempt a Chain Ferry world record!
On the 10th June 2026, a group of friends will attempt to set a new world record - complete a journey including every vehicle chain ferry in the UK, in an electric car, in under 24 hours!
There are seven vehicular chain ferries in the UK and the shortest route linking them is approximately 750 miles. The challenge is to cross them all within 24 hours.
The journey commences in the Lake District on the last crossing of the Windermere Ferry, and the route ends the next day at the King Harry Ferry in Cornwall, travelling from Philleigh to Feock.
