Falmouth's Sea Shanty Festival Returns

27 May

THe Greenbank and The Falmouth are at the heart of the celebrations

The Cornwall Hotel Collection is delighted to announce that both The Greenbank and The Falmouth will once again play key roles in the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival 2026, taking place from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June.

As one of Europe’s largest free nautical music festivals returns to Falmouth, both iconic waterfront hotels will serve as main stage venues, with The Greenbank also returning as a proud main sponsor of the much-loved event.

Festival-goers can once again expect a lively weekend of sea shanties, harbourside celebrations and toe-tapping performances from groups visiting from across the UK and beyond.

A major highlight for both venues will be performances from local favourites The Oggymen, who are set to draw crowds throughout the festival weekend. Festival-goers can catch them at The Greenbank’s marquee on the quay on the Friday at 7pm and again at The Falmouth on Saturday at 1pm, promising plenty of rousing choruses and lively festival atmosphere.

“We are honoured to be a main stage venue for the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival 2026. As a hotel with a long-standing connection to the town’s maritime history, we are delighted to offer both our guests and festival-goers an exceptional experience, combining music, heritage and hospitality in a truly breath- taking setting.”
Matt Garland, General Manager at The Falmouth and The Greenbank

“The Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival is a true celebration of our town’s identity, bringing together locals and visitors alike in a shared love of music, history and community. Being part of this event is a privilege, and as historic hotels at the heart of Falmouth, we are thrilled to contribute to the festivities and immerse ourselves in this incredible tradition.”
Ben Young, Managing Director of the Cornwall Hotel Collection

With thousands expected to descend on Falmouth once again this June, both hotels are preparing for a packed weekend of music, food, drink and maritime merriment in two of the town’s most iconic waterfront locations.

At The Greenbank, the festival atmosphere will centre around the hotel’s famous marquee on the quay and The Working Boat pub, where drinks will be flowing alongside a range of delicious food offerings throughout the weekend. Set against panoramic harbour views, the venue remains one of the festival’s most popular destinations.

Meanwhile, across the bay, The Falmouth’s stunning seafront lawns will host performances throughout the weekend alongside an array of foodie vendors serving festival favourites. Guests looking for something a little more indulgent will also be able to enjoy luxurious crab and seafood platters in the hotel’s restaurant while soaking up the festival atmosphere overlooking the sea.
