• We operate several ferry routes in the beautiful Fal Estuary, Cornwall including to St Mawes and Trelissick Gardens. We also operate a successful charter business

About you

• You have a good standard of seamanship and real experience in the marine world, including competently skippering vessels over 30 feet in length

• You are reliable, responsible and safety conscious

• You have great customer service skills and the confidence to command a vessel and crew

• You are happy to work flexibly to a rota system, including bank holidays, weekends, evenings and covering other staff as required

• You have an MCA Boatmaster Licence (Tier 2 Level 2) with passenger endorsement, or the prerequisite skills, qualifications and abilities to gain it. This may include

• RYA Yachtmaster Sail or Power with commercial endorsement

• RYA Advanced Powerboat with commercial endorsement

• MCA deck officer qualifications

• Including / plus

• Valid medical or ability to obtain one (ENG1 or ML5)

• VHF / SRC certificate

• The three basic courses, either MCA approved or STCW95 (personal survival/water safety, first aid and fire safety)

• You are familiar with routine checks and basic problem solving of boat systems: diesel engines, bilge pumps,
