The Nare Hotel
The Nare is a luxurious five star country house hotel by the sea and has been Cornwall’s highest rated hotel for over 30 years. Its superb position overlooks the long and sandy Carne beach with spectacular sea views over Gerrans Bay.
Considered by many to be the most comfortable hotel in the West Country, the hotel features luxurious rooms and suites, two restaurants, warm indoor and outdoor swimming pools, outdoor hot tub, steam room, sauna, and a modest gym. There’s also a hotel spa that provides a full menu of relaxing treatments for guests and non-residents.
The Nare’s rooms and suites are all individually decorated in a classic country house style. Most are large and very spacious and many have balconies or terraces that make the most of the magnificent views.
Positioned alongside the South West Coast Path, the hotel is also an ideal location from which to explore the Roseland Peninsula and Fal River – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are medieval castles, historic churches, pretty coastal villages, and stunning Cornish gardens to visit nearby. Guests can book guided coastal walks and spend a day on the water aboard The Nare’s 38’ motor launch, Alice Rose.
Dining at The Nare
In the evenings guests have the luxury of choosing to dine in the Dining Room or in the two AA-rosette Quarterdeck Restaurant.
The Quarterdeck Restaurant is open all day for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, and à la carte dining in the evening. Its relaxed atmosphere and sunny terrace make it an ideal place to meet up with friends and family.
The Dining Room is a more traditional silver service affair and is only open for dinner and for Sunday Lunch. It offers traditional five course menu, fabulous hors d'oeuvres trolley, guéridon-served flambés, and homemade puddings. Both restaurants are open to non-residents but booking is recommended and a jacket and tie is requested in the Dining Room
