Mediterranean Fish at Philleigh Way
27 August & 28 October
This course explores the best ways to cook fish and other great side dishes; but mostly importantly some fantastic recipes that can be used for lunch, brunch or dinner.
Don’t we all want to live until we are 100? Well the Mediterranean diet has long been held in high regard to aiding this and the principal aspects of this diet include proportionally high moderate to high consumption of fish, moderate consumption of dairy products (mostly as cheese and yogurt), moderate wine consumption (my favourite!), and low consumption of non-fish meat products. Olive oil has been studied as a potential health factor for reducing all-cause mortality and the risk of chronic diseases.
So given all these facts I wanted to create an enjoyable course, combining cookery skills and an effective long term approach to eating.
We are blessed with the finest seafood in the world here in Cornwall so this is also a superb fit. The day will consist of useful fish knowledge, whether you are at the Cornish food store or haggling with a local fisherman in Cadgwith.
