Half Term at the Maritime Museum

24 October - 1 November 2020

A trip to National Maritime Museum Cornwall is fun for everyone. This October half term round up the littles ones and make a beeline for the NMMC.

Monsters of the Deep

For all those who embrace the spookier side of October, Monsters of the Deep is a treat – no trick. A menacing feegee mermaid, a giant sea spider and a killer whale skeleton looming from above – it’s fun for all the family.

Get stranded on Treasure Island

The Treasure Island Play Zone is open and ready for young imaginations to go wild. Take to the high seas, navigate the shark infested waters and keep an eye out for pesky pirates. Who will be the first to uncover the Island’s riches?

Become a lifesaver in the RNLI Rescue Zone

Hop aboard one of the RNLI rescue vehicles and see what it feels like to be a real lifesaver. Discover the history of the RNLI and get to grips with water safety.

Dive into Cornish history

Deep-dive into Cornish history – stories of shipwrecks, tales of heroic journeys and a cabinet crammed with curiosities. Find out more about Falmouth’s international importance as a port and uncover the history of coastal towns such as Porthleven.

Sail your own boat

Can you sail your mini yacht from one end of the boat pool to the other? Use the boat’s sail and the wind to glide along the water – watch out for other boats and mini obstacles along the way.

Have a brew with a view

The Waterside Cafe is open for drinks and snacks – and one of the best views in Falmouth. Make a pit-stop, refuel and continue on your journey of discovery.
