Pasties & Cream at Philleigh Way

The humble but mighty pasty, you cannot come to Cornwall without eating and experiencing a pasty. So naturally during this course students will learn how to make a the best Cornish Pasty (family recipe!) and sample a traditional Cornish cream tea.

Welcome: Meet your tutor and see for yourself the Philleigh Way farmhouse cookery school and garden. Enjoy a morning tea or coffee.
The Day: The course kicks off with a proper pasty making demonstration that covers the history and culture of the Cornish pasty. Students then have a go at making their own pasty with hands on guidance from our tutors – especially during the all important crimping! Whilst the pasties are in the oven students will enjoy a demonstration of homemade scones. Students then sit down to enjoy a classic Cornish cream tea before heading home with their freshly baked pasties.
