2024 marks 40 years since we first opened The Alverton’s old oak doors to welcome in guests for a relaxing stay at our oasis on the hill.

This September, you’re all invited to join us in celebrating our hotel’s milestone anniversary weekend, either at The Ruby Ball or by opting for The Ruby afternoon tea.

On Saturday 7th September, the crown jewel of our hotel – The Great Hall – will be dressed to impress for our dazzling Ruby Ball.

Tickets are £75 per person and include your entry to The Great Hall, arrival cocktail, strawberries and chocolate fountain, four-course dinner, and live music from our band until late.

Ruby Afternoon Tea

We’ll be serving our Alverton afternoon tea with a Ruby twist – exclusively throughout September.

Tuck into a treasure trove of sweet and savoury treats, balanced elegantly on three tiers served with hot pots of Cornish loose leaf tea.

We’ll be serving The Ruby afternoon tea in our restaurant, for the ultimate high tea experience in Cornwall.

The Ruby afternoon tea is £26 per person, and exclusively available throughout September.
