Christmas at Trelissick

Christmas returns to Trelissick this year with a fun, festive atmosphere in the stable yard and a warm welcome for all throughout December. Father Christmas will share seasonal tales, the café will serve spiced apple juice and mulled wine, and plenty of Christmas gifts are available for your loved ones in the shop. Wrap up warm and take a stroll around the beautiful grounds. Bring some festive cheer and make a new Christmas tradition with Trelissick.

Miracle Theatre Sleeping Beauty 

8th - 31st December

Welcome in the festive season with the return of Miracle Theatre's much-loved Christmas Show!   Bring your family, friends and neighbours for a classic tale of a resourceful princess and a wicked spell that goes wrong... A mischievous story to uplift dreamers of all ages with a song, a dance, a wink and a nudge! 

Miracle Theatre's Christmas show is known to sell out, so book now to avoid disappointment. Opening on the 8th -11th of December at St Ives Guildhall, followed by a winter residency at Princess Pavilion, Falmouth, until 31st December.

Lanterns and Lights at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall

17th December - 1st January

Enjoy magically lit boats, merry Make and Takes, and a sparkly lit Museum Trail during the Christmas holidays. See how sailors had to navigate with rare nautical lights and how they used the stars to guide them home. Make your own starry lantern or follow the trail through the Museum to see how many of the hidden constellations you can find.

Pendennis Castle and St Mawes Castle

  26th - 31st December

 

Throughout the week between Christmas and New Year, English Heritage will be opening both Pendennis Castle and St Mawes Castle. The Tudor Castle of Pendennis defended Falmouth for hundreds of years and offers a tremendous historical experience, and the panoramic views are amazing. St Mawes Castle is one of the best-preserved of Henry VIII's coastal artillery fortresses and the most elaborately decorated. Together, these impressive castles guarded the Carrick Roads. Come and spend a day in history at one of these mighty fortresses.

Falmouth's Festive Weekend

  10th and 11th December

Falmouth's Festive Weekend is back with a fantastic array of activities for all to enjoy in various locations throughout Falmouth. Try your hand at ice skating or curling, jump into a snow globe or wander through the snowy streets. Visit the Miracle Theatre Santa's Grotto or have a sing-a-long with one of the many choir performances at the Moor or Events Square.

St Just in Roseland Festival of Light

  29th and 30th December from 4.30pm - 7.30pm

Feel the joy at the world-famous church and gardens for the spectacular Festival of Light celebration. Each night there will be a children's drama, sing-along carols, craft sessions and plenty of mulled wine and mince pies. The evening will not be complete without a visit to the Sweet Shop and a lucky dip in the bran tub. Guests can round off everything by joining family and friends at a Hog Roast Feast with Toffee Apples and festive music from the Wurlitzer. Parking in the church car parks will be limited to Blue Badge holders, but this year, there will be ample organised parking in nearby fields with a drop-off and shuttle bus. King Harry Ferry will extend their regular winter hours on both nights, with the last ferry at 8:10pm from the Philleigh side.
